TUESDAY'S CLUB

Man do I hate to have to tell this, but Wendy says I should tell stories on here instead my heart...lol
Well I earned extra money in July and I have 3 grandchildren birthdays coming up in the next month, so off to Ross I go. I spent allot of time and heart in that shopping for my grandbabies. Off to the check out I go and it totals 147.92. The really nice looking young man says are you part of our Tuesday club and I say no, but what is it, in case I want to join for a discount. Well it's the 55 and over club. I could have snatched that cute young man across that check out counter. Evidently someone forgot to teach him the manners of not guessing a ladies' age. I said you should give me the discount for asking that question. He said well I heard you say you were shopping for your grandchildren. I said yes that's true, but I got married when I was 15. Oh my goodness I am way away from 55. My how that wouldn't have phased me a few years back. But as time goes on you have to fight to stay young. And I decided I felt like fighting yesterday. LOL...I got so flustered with being OLD that I used the wrong debit card, you know the one with no money in it. I said oh I'm sorry but that debit card isn't the one I wanted to use. Mind you I have 5 bags of stuff and the young lady that comes to cancel the transaction says because it's a debit I can't cancel it. Well I have never heard of such. So she says we will have to do it like a return. I of course have no choice but to cooperate. Then she has to take each item out and scan it, can't use the receipt, you have to scan each item. Needless to say I am holding the long line up in this process. Well she hands me 147.92 cash back from an account I just told her didn't have the money in it to cover it. I told her I will just take the cash to the bank and be done with it. Now they scan the 5 bags of items again to use the proper debit card and by this time I am sooooo ready to out of this store. I head straight to Amsouth to deposit the cash and the closest bank in Murfreesboro is no longer Amsouth. So I proceed to Smyrna Amsouth and it's past the 2:00 pm cut off. I explained what happened and she said there is nothing she can do to help me. Wheeww!!! I call Ross in Murfreesboro and ask for the manager and Verna the manager tells me that she could have cancelled the transaction if they had of called for her. She wants me to return to M'boro, but I had already deposited the cash in the bank. So off to the Nashville Amsouth branch where my checking accounts are hoping to make it there before it closes at 3:30 and I am sitting in the lobby patiently waiting my turn. Monette the customer service rep tells me it's going to be ok and even if they were to charge a NSF since there never has been one on the account she would credit the account. Whew!!!! I am starting to think maybe I really am old with all this mess. I remember one time Ladonna asked me how old I was and I said 35 and already a grandmother for a year by then and she said "You sure have lived a long life in a short time" So maybe my mind and body are trying to catch up with the long years I have lived in such a short time. I figure by my calculations I am ready for the retirement home. LOL...I just think Social Security wouldn't buy that and see the humor in it. I hope Wendy is happy now that I posted something that didn't relate to Charlie, Jesus, Charlie, Jesus. LOL...

me too..i had to highlight it to read. I don't think you look remotely close to 55. I woulda been miffed at him, oh well, I guess there are worse things in life. Glad it got all settled.

I had to highlight the words too. It is because she changed her font color. I have it set up to cream. She made the last 2 a different color thus messing the whole look. :P

And thanks for no charlie jesus charlie jesus. :D

hahahahahahhaahah!
I was in Ross and I had my head down so all the checkout lady saw was my gray head. The lady asked me the same question and I looked up and smiled at her. She sputtered and said..."uh, I guess you're not old enough". I just laughed and said, "no, not for another 11 years." (I happen to like my gray hair :) I would have liked the discount though. I love Ross and love sales!

Sis. Vicky,
I have three girls so far and the other three are either finally back in the state or I have been alerted that another may be old enough to participate now. I'll call them tonight.

We have finalized:
Alaena Washburn
Hannah Womack
Sarah Womack

I am trying to get hold of tonight:
Tori O'Dell (just moved to state)
Haley Mason
Megan Deitz may be old enough, but I have to check tonight also.

Still checking on the two you suggested and one more.

The biggest question for everyone, especially those in rural areas is
gloves. I know where to get them in the city at the mall cheap...Claire's (just resist all ya'lls temptation to buy matching earrings...ha! :) :)

It's hard enough finding white dresses, but gloves too???
